Need some advice CF seb or Sng?

I'd definitely go with a seb, not 1with a cf handle tho. A CRK with all ti is the only way to go IMO. I have a few CRK's so I'm a little bias.

The price Strider charges for their could be cut in half and you'd be paying a fair price for the quality and ff that you're getting. Yes, I have had a couple of Striders.

Hi Craig, the first part of your post is your preference, but I must disagree with your Strider statement.

I have a CF SMF in my pocket now and F&F is second to none (IMO).

My 25 and my large CF 21 are my 2 favorite EDC Reeves of all time .

OP, the Reeve and the Strider are 2 completely different animals and only you will decide which works for you.

Thats if you can only own one knife.

Go for the Strider, since you have the funds and are curious.

Be careful with it and do not use it, and after handling it, if it's not the bee's knees to you then send it back for a refund. And get the CF Sebenza.

You know what that will be like (Cool!) you just wonder if the Strider is cooler, right?

So now is the time to find out, but both options will still be open to you if you don't use the Strider and it is returnable. You know it will cut stuff, that's a given, so you are just judging on aesthetics, ergonomics, overall feel, etc. and how it makes you FEEL when holding it.

And then you'll know.

Large or small? 21 or 25?

I had a CRK Sebbie 25; sold it right away. It kept cutting me when I closed the blade. Couldn't stay out of its way. I only have large Sebbies any more; can't hold onto the smalls in my hand.
I have now a ANIB Seb 21 (birthday knife), a ANIB 21 Seb tanto, and a ANIB Regular Sebbie. ...and my Zaan. Very nice blades.
I love 'em.

I think you get more knife for less money with a CRK. With that said, it is over priced, but a Strider SnG is one hell of a knife. I own a small lefty Sebenza but my Strider SnG CC and Lego have pushed it out of my pocket.

You owe it to yourself to try a Strider. Besides, if you don't like it, you can recover most, if not all of the purchase price on the secondary market.

Expand out and try a Strider. You might fall in love with it. My first Strider was ok and it eventually grew on me. Then it had problems where it just wouldn't smooth out and that's after months of carrying and use. The lock bar became sticky as well. I got rid of it instead of sending it into Strider and I picked up another Strider SnG in Z-wear. I couldn't be happier. It seemed like a two completely different animal. Smooth as any of the CRKs that came through my way and no lock up issues. It's one of my absolute favorites. Yes there's less cutting edge, but it has about the same amount of cutting edge as a PM2 or a Manix 2, so it didn't bother me since I edced them just fine. Striders are definitely knives that you won't feel bad for using or abusing. Wear and tear makes the knife more attractive IMO. Also as others have said, if you don't like it, just sell it and put that money toward another Sebenza. I don't need to tell you the pros on a Sebenza since you already own one. Check it out and see for yourself.

Any sebenza, I have owned strider and a sebenza. Do your self a favor and get crk.

I waited for years to try a CRK and have had 3 and still have a classic. I waited much longer to try a Strider as it never even crossed my mind until recently. I am on my 2nd SnG and the CC is a sweet knife.
You know what you are getting in the CRK and how can you possibly scratch the Strider itch without trying? If you get a Strider even close to the quality of both of mine then you will have zero to be concerned about. My current CC is as close to perfect as any knife I have owned to include CRKs. I realize this isn't always the case and consistency favors CRK, but like mentioned plenty, easy re-sale.
