Need some advice on a new blade

I love the looks of Gavko's knives. Love to watch Michal on Youtube. Sometimes I even understand most of what he says. No offense Mike! Also love the look and heft of John at 3 River Blades knives. Also love the work of Crashbladeknives. Beautiful stuff. I have learned more as a knifemaker from these three on youtube than I have reading through the forums here for two years. Not saying the info here isn't amazing, just saying it is better to see what someone is explaining to you. Gavko has a Gear Bastion page. Google "Gavko Gear Bastion." Better do it fast, he sells everything he posts in days, and as of this morning, there was only nine knives left.
This is my opinion based on my wants/desires. I have very little actual experience with knives other than the ones I make. Can't see my way clear yet to buy knives for $200-$300 when I can just hold one of my own back from sale.

There are definitely amazing threads on here about knifemaking. I've got a massive bookmarks folder full of them. Here's one of my favorites:

Not to mention, the knifemaking forum. I'm bigger on pictures than videos though, as a general rule, when I'm learning a new skill.

Go to the TMHunt subforum here in the Hostd Knifemakers forums.

Or Tod will be along shortly. Or his shop bitch Murph.......

:D

Moose

Flattery sir, you suck at it my lil gathering bitch.:D

Newfie, you could buy Moosey's M-18, he never uses it anyway.

Seriously though, I'd have no idea where to start, way too many good knives out there. We're always eager to hook folks up withgreat steel at TM Hunt customs, but with Blade coming up you may be waiting a bit. We wouldn't turn you away, but instant satisfaction ain't an option right now. I've been eyeing a Candiru lately and maybe a new Leatherman eventually.

Dude, that was cold.

I'm hankerin' for a couple in particular.
A T.M. Hunt hunter. And a David Wesner fillet. Those two are my goals for this year. Hunting and fishing.
Todd makes good stuff. I have a few.

BK15. Your 5 needs a little sibling.

Also, how are you set up with scales and sheaths for your existing knives? I have several Beckers but the next stage for me is upgrading the ones I have. The factory scales/sheaths are serviceable but I want something better.

I have a set of micarta handles on my bk 2 and bk16 and 3 sets of wooden handles from tommythewho... 2 large sets and a a tweener set...I think I am either going to get a bk12 and some micarta for it or another bk16 w/ micarta and also some g10 handles for my bk24 from dale at tkc.... Decisions decisions
