Managed to find a Wilson 3JR hardness tester for sale at another die shop across the street from the shop I work at. They said its in good working order and looks to have most of the accessories. They've had it for 30 years and just replaced it with 2 new digital portable testers. Anyway I think I got it for a good deal ($500) with stand. So my question is is there anything I need to know when moving this thing beyond the obvious of probably don't lay it down. I've only got to go 4 miles to my house. Any thing you guys can think of would be great. I just figured there are a few of you on here that have moved these before. Thanks in advance!!!!

I also managed to buy a Bridgeport mill last week. I'm putting the mill into storage for 6 months until next summer when I remodel my garage. I posted pics of both. Sorry about picture quality. I was in a hurry.

Take the weights off of it. Keep it upright and make sure it can't move or topple over. Go slow. This is how I moved mine. Get a good test block in the range you will be testing and make sure it reads in that range.
