Need some help finding "Gunmetal"

Do you mean bronze ? This would be Gunmetal G or alloy 903 a tin bronze containing 88 % Cu and 12 % tin. McMaster has it.
Delbert, this is from the old days when they made bronze cannons in the navy !!

That bronze alloy sounds like a good one for blades.

Thanks for that Mete, I didn't realize you could still get tin bronze. That is very close to what the old bronze swords were made of.
