All of a sudden I am getting requests for a certificate of origin on the knives I sell. Can y'all give me an idea of what information I need to include? Thanks in advance.

All I can think of is steel type, date of manufacture, handle material, Rockwell hardness....what else am I missing?

godogs57,
I have been providing cerificates of origin with my knives for years. I give care information, all the pertinent knife information you listed and my contact information. I use mine as a ministry tool as well, so it gives refernace to my MAKER as it talks about me as a knife maker. I have had many customers state how much they like having the certificate with the knife. I could email you a copy if you like.

Sometimes it's referred to as a certificate of authenticity too. A few more things you might want to include: steel, date, RC, handle material, contact info, warranty info. Here are a few more threads on the subject...

to be a certificate, you need to certify it. I usually use language like this:

By signing below I certify that, to the best of my ability, all the information above is true and correct.
