Was backpacking down south last week and as is my usual I tried to run into every outdoor store I could for obvious reasons. Ran across some interesting fixed blades made by Dee Kistner out of I believe Tennessee. He uses 1075 steel which I already know the good bad and ugly on. His small 3 inch blades were $130 up to bigger blades at $220. He had several different handle materials including that horse stall mat stuff. The knives all felt pretty good in my hands for a every day use knife. Does anyone have any experience on his knives and how they have held up? I didn't buy one then but I did take his card and have checked out his website. Any help or info is welcome. Thanks guys

Hey,
I met him at an outdoor store in Birmingham. His Pocket Drop 3" fixed blade knives are tough as nails. Perfect for everyday carry. The thicker blade is different from anything I'd carried before, but It is easy to get used to the size. He is a great guy who is really passionate about putting out "users." I'd say grab a couple; he is becoming know more and more.
