need some keychain knife suggestions

I like the CRKT Peck...it comes in a variety of styles and also doubles as a nice money clip. I have the spectra in TiNi, and it has served me very well for over two years now.

look up TRANGO KNIFE and then go to the website and have a look I think the knife is called the piranha mine i8s perfect for keychain carry.:D

I have a small Buck keychain knife. This isn't the exact model I have, but similar enough. The blade is small, but it came extremely sharp and is surprisingly useful in all kinds of ED situations.

I like the Vic classic for a keychain knife. It's small, light, useful and non-threatening. That's what I use when I'm out in public and I need to use a knife- don't want to scare the sheeple. I usually have a Swisskey on there, too, which I've accidentally carried through airport security a couple of times. I used to carry a little fixed blade on my keychain (CS mini-pal I think) but I've found the SAK to be more useful. For bigger jobs there's always my main EDC.

the Gerber Ridge?

i have one, and i stopped carrying it on my keys because it would open in my pocket

Yes, that's it.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you had with your's. I currently keep mine clipped to the back of a Nite-Ize sheath that I keep as an emergency kit.

Also, Buck Metro makes a nice keychain knife too.

My Ladybug arrived yesterday.
Well made knife. tiny though.
Its hard to gage dimensions from the specs on the net.
Its about 50% smaller than I imagined.

If you're used to a larger knife it will seem very small at first... I felt the same way about my Spyderco Spin, (having had a Kershaw Leek) but now I only EDC and I have yet to run into anything where I needed a larger knife (Leek is... slowly getting sharpened, by yours truly).

The Leek sure does look huge in my hand now, though (and when I only EDC'd it I felt like I wanted a larger knife :D)!

You are probably right habit.
I have just started carrying the Ladybug after carrying a Ka-Bar Dozier on my keyring so there is a significant difference.

I recently got a Vic SAK, I think the model is the Rouge. It has nail file, blade, flathead/caplifter and scissors. This is a great little keychain knife, but the blade is so small and thin I wouldn't want to rely on it to cut too much.

Knifemaker David Winston occasionally makes up these key knives. I've set mine up so it may be removed from the sheath, even if the vehicle key is in the ignition.
