Need Some Prayers

Very sorry to hear this. Smoke and prayers sent for you and yours, from me and mine.

Tomorrow at 10:00am have a meeting at the hospital on pull out Helen's breathing tube. I want them to install a teracker (sp?)tube, but her brother and sister wants to pull the plugs. We are meeting with MD's and Hospice Counselor.

IG, you ARE NOT pulling the plug, but rather allowing the process of nature to go forward. Never hold yourself guilty for allowing the process to continue. I will continue to pray for you and Helen, but you are not at fault.
Hang in there brother. You have the prayers and smoke of many.

BTW: I faced the same decision with my Mother. It was not easy, neither will it be for you.

There is nothing more to be said.

Smoke and prayers still going up from Virginia.

You are Helen's husband, period.
Jesus is her Savior, period.
Her brother and sister may well believe they care so deeply about Helen, and that what they think is right.
You are her husband.
Jesus is her Savior.

What is right is what should be what is done.
I do not know what right is, but may God give you snd the Doctors the wisdom to do what is right for Helen

Please God, give IG the wisdom and compassion to do Your Will.

I hope and pray you can find your inner peace. I know she must have been a big part of that. The people who really effect us never leave us but, are the good voices inside ourselves. She will always be with you as she became a part of you. I know the pain and many share your sadness. Jim
 
I like to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers.
They pulled the plug on her at 10:30AM this morning. I couldn't sit in her room an watch her die. This really sucks.
 
Our hearts weep with grief, IG.
Nanc and I offer our condolences, my friend.

Please don't feel guilt. I did that for my mother, and it took years ... years ... to get past the pain.

We're only human, after all.

I got sick every year, at that time of year, for some years later until I figured out I hadn’t finished grieving. When I lost my brother to AIDES I also had trouble for a while. PLEASE take care of yourself IG. Do whatever you need to to grieve and honor your sweet heart, yourself and the grand mystery we call life. You and Helen are in our hearts and on our minds. Indian George - I've had a hard time reading through these posts, and especially #133; we went through the same thing a couple of years ago with my aunt, very sudden, and a tough family decision to let her go.

So sorry for the loss, and know, sir, that there a lot of good folks here praying for you.
