Need some work done on a couple of handles. Suggestions?

I have a Cold Steel SRK and will be receiving a Cold Steel Trail Master very soon. Both are Carbon V. According to some on this forum, the kraton handle traps moisture and causes rust to form. I'm trying to eliminate this problem ASAP by replacing the handle material with micarta. Can anyone recommend me someone that can do this and do it well?

I'm not asking for the job just a couple comments.This job by a custom maker would likely cost as much as you paid for the knife.Are you sure you don't want to give it a try yourself? Any number of folks here would be willing to give advice and instruction.I would be happy to talk you through the process.Just give me a call 205-486-7479.

I don't remember on the SRK if it is a full or hidden tang.The Trail Master is a hidden tang.Just make sure that should you get a maker to rehandle the hidden tang,he will need to use thicker than common micarta and do a mortis tang or use a large block.IMHO I wouldn't want my Trail Master handle thinner than one inch.
