Need suggestion re missing orders...

Well Phil I hope everything else is going well, I got burned on some scales a while back, not much money but delayed the knife. I just buy from the big makers who are selling stock and the knife supply stores. too bad it makes it hard to trust others who may have a product to sell.

Done with the folder?? good luck

Glad to see with your order, you at least used paypal... so even though it's a hassle, you can get your money back. I feel terrible when people get screwed over by not getting a product. Even worse when it's through check/MO so there's no getting it back.

Phil,

On the bright side - I still have two slabs of malachite I am holding for you... :)

THANKS, that is indeed a bright side. I just had that folder out yesterday to solder up the bolsters and get over to you. But, it looks like this weekend is gone to the kids, hallow's eve, etc. We'll see. Thanks for the hanging in there!!!!

Phil, it's a shame something like this has happened. I've had bad dealings in the past and have now learned to only use PayPal in all of my internet dealings.

I have been lurking around alot lately and following several threads of "deals gone bad". It seems as though this is becoming entirely too common. One of the things I personally appreciate is the level of honor/integrity and even patriotism associated with the knifemaking community. Over the years that I have been following custom knives I have had numerous makers tell me of the "knifemaking family" and how each maker does whatever they can to help others. Luckily, in my personal dealings I have found this to be true and greatly appreciate those who have taken me into the family.

Those responsible for the recent "deals gone bad" need to get off of thier a$$ and resolve the issues. This community does not need the black eye that has been created by the recent scandals of the few.

Phil, I hope you're able to get this resolved. I don't know what the heck is going on

FWIW, I've found the above "clip" from murph's post to be the rule rather than the exception.

Without a doubt, when it comes to a community of Artisans, the Knifemakers, Blacksmiths, and Bladesmiths I've met have been the most honest, giving folks I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

Thanks Guys!

The fella has resurfaced and PM'd me on Jerzeedevils. He gave a plausible explanation with a promise to get the material sent out. Everything will, of course, be a non-issue the day the stuff arrives here. I look forward to that day, clearing the air and updating my threads with the good news.

I agree, the bladesmithing/knifemaking community consists of extremely generous folks of integrity and good will!

Hey after all, who am I to talk? I still owe Robert James a 2008 Christmas exchange knife! :foot::eek::D

All the best, Phil

PS - Goods arrived (with a gift to boot.)
