I currently carry a ZT 0550 and absolutely love the knife! There are times I need a smaller knife.

What would you suggest for a folder smaller than the 0550?

I love ZT's but I'm open to suggestions. Price isn't an issue, just want a quality knife!! Thanks all!

You will need to give us a few more specifics than that, a little to vague...

I need a smaller profile knife, shorter length.

Love to keep it a ZT but open to other knives.

yeah you can't go wrong with a leek, especially with the s30v or composite d2 steel

How about a Small Sebenza? I prefer the Insigno blade so my ideal EDC knife is a Small Insingo Sebenza with Micarta inlays. If you are looking for quality, Sebenza defines quality.

Well if price really isn't an issue, you could always keep your eye out on the Exchange for a 3.0" or 3.5" Hinderer XM-18. ;)

Wait am I in the wrong forum:confused:

Smallest zt's are the 0780 and the 0750 Talon. There s a lightly used 0780 in the exchange right now for decent price considering they are discontinued.

It would be helpful if you said what handle material you prefer, flipper or thumbstud, assisted or non, blade style etc...reason being there are a ton of kershaws in that range.

Just a shot in the dark but possibly a wild wild turkey 1430. Ti handles and good ats-34 steel.
Or a speedform 2 with elmax?

I've held one before. Its nice. Its along the lines of the 1410 starkey ridge and Ti talon of which I own both. Same steel also.
I really like the ats-34 personally. Kershawguy has a few 1430 Ww Turkeys on his site.

Go for the S30v G10 version. The G10 has a great texture, s30v is superior to D2, and the knife is lighter and wider than the composite blade version wich has stainless steel handles.

I have heard alot of people prefer the composite cpmd2 like in the composite leek or jyd 2.2 to s30v for edge retention. So you think the s30v is a better edge retention then the composite cpm d2?

Kershaw Cryo. It's assisted but I think they did a good job with it.

Much smaller than the 0550 but similar in design. Kind of reduced size version with flat scales.
