Need Suggestions for a smaller folder

I have heard alot of people prefer the composite cpmd2 like in the composite leek or jyd 2.2 to s30v for edge retention. So you think the s30v is a better edge retention then the composite cpm d2?

I like s30v over D2, but really it's hard to tell a difference. They both hold a great edge, but I think s30v has D2 beat when it comes to wear resistance. Edge retention and working hardness are around the same.

You cannot go wrong with a Chris Reeve Sebenza. The smalls are just under 3". Really, a fantastic folder.

The wild wild turkey is a cool little knife. I prefer a shorter, fatter blade for EDC (think Delica) but that's strictly a personal preference. Build quality on the Japanese Kershaws is top notch though.

I can vouch for both the ZT 0780 and the Kershaw Wild Wild Turkey. The 0780 is the current star in my EDC rotation, and a Kershaw 1431 (G-10 WWT) was my primary, if not exclusive, EDC for years (it still rides in my uniform shirt/lab coat pocket every day at work). The old Hawk (big brother to the WWT) is a great option too, if you can find one, but they seem to be extremely rare now. The new China-built Hawk is a direct reproduction of the old WWT, albeit in a lesser steel (8CR13MOV vs ATS34 in all of the old High Tech Series knives). Really, there are a lot of great choices in the Kershaw lineup!

If you really like ZTs wait for the 566 to come out later this year. 3.125" Elmax blade, and can be de-assisted. Might be 3 to 6 months though. I really like my little unassisted Zing too. Blade just snaps. The lightest knife I have is the CRKT Eros. Full Ti scales with integrated frame lock and Acuto+ blade steel, and a bearing pivot. Weighs less than an ounce.

I will second the cryo, feels solid and the blade flies! I just wish I could get all my fingers on the handle.
