someone would probably pay the postage for it if you would give it to them...just a thought
I'd be happy to give it away for free if someone pays the postage.
We used to have an old saying in the photography world - If an image doesn't work, frame it. If it still doesn't work, mat it and if it
still doesn't work, hang it. So, in this case, hang it.
Gives me a bit of an idea, perhaps I could clean it up a bit, put it in a frame and sell it as an "In case of zombie invasion, break glass" display kit or something?
Put it in the trash where it belongs.
At the very least, I'd probably give the grips away for free if anyone wants them, and take the rest (all metal) to a metal smelting yard so they can melt it and reuse it.
Give it to a kid! In the old days, you gave a boy a nice little pocket knife. Well that's a little risky today. He'll either be a smart alec and take it to school where the now paranoid administrators will ruin his life because of it or he'll just forget he's got it. Either way, he's in a heap of trouble. A nice big bowie knife like object like that can be parentally supervised because a kid will want to hang that on the wall and take it out in the woods. A boy would like that.
I guess a big bowie knife would be a lot harder for them to "sneak" anywhere, but who knows. If I was going to give a responsible kid anything, it would be the old fashioned idea of a swiss army knife; teach them how to clean it, sharpen it using a stone etc, and how to use it practically. My dad got me a Victorinox for my 18th birthday and I've used it so much, an invaluable tool!
Throwing knife until it breaks:thumbup:
Would be a great way to practice I guess, hehe.
Use it in the garden or around the house for dirty work that you normally wouldn't use a good knife for i.e. digging holes for flowers, hacking away at shrubs, cutting up branches, stuff like that.
I guess I could throw it in the toolbox or something. I don't own a lot of knives, but I've put a spare knock-off swiss army knife in my medical kit, just in case, makes sense to have something like this in the toolbox. If nothing else, the saw-edge on the rear is stupidly sharp, I've never felt anything like it. If it can keep an edge, it serves as a saw of some kind at least.
