I'm looking for a tough working knife with a blade of 3" or less with the strongest lock possible.

Looking for something that can take a little bit of prying and won't close on my hands no matter what.

Here's the catch:
I'm looking for something that has a street (forums) value of $150 or less!

Any ideas?

Something with a tanto blade would work best if you're even thinking about prying. The 3-inch CS Voyager would be a fairly good bet. CRKT has some new offerings, like the M-1, which is very beefy. Also check some of their M16-02s.

The CRKT M-1 is a beefy knife and comes in with a blade about 3 inches.

The CRKT M16-02 tanto is a good choice, but make sure the steel's
AUS8 or thereabouts.

Mini Grip, BM 525, HK 14210 are tough small folders that i own. I would do some prying with them.

How 'bout the RAT Cutlery Izula? I EDC one and it stays hidden in my front pocket, plus, it weighs only around 2.6 oz with a sheath.

Ditto on the mini grip if it has to be a folder. I prefer the small fixed blade and my EDC is a BRKT mikro canadian. I chose to get the original because of the A2 steel and the thicker blade. It is one tough little knife!

BM minigrip or one of the new folding Razels from CRKT (aint out yet but worth the wait most likely)

I'm definitely going to check out this CRKT Razel.

How's the lock on the Razel?

Keep the ideas coming! I'm living in a strict 3" city and I need a good working folder!
