Hi gang! So I just sent out a piece to a customer and took a little break to clean the shop and think of my next batch of projects. One in paticular I haven't been able to get out this bowl of soup I call a brain for a long time. So I guess that means I should get started on in so I can use that part of my head for something more important. Like beer drinking. My problem the size of stock it requires. Is there anyone out there that can tell me where to find O-1 perrcission ground ts 1/4in thick and at least 6in wide and at least 12 to 18in long. None of the catologs I have got any over 3in wide. And while I'm askin. Where is everyone getting that gorgious amber colored stag I've seen on so many pieces here on bf. Thanx

Starrett O1 flat stock

in 1/4" you can get up to 14 inch widths, 18, or 36 lengths.

Not the cheapest but if it is for a small project then you are able to order small quantities.

You can buy the amber stag directly from Culpeppers too. A lot of folks do send their own stag into Culpeppers to be dyed but they also sell it pre dyed and ready to go http://www.knifehandles.com/stag-horn-and-bone/amber-sambar-stag-slabs I used some couple of months back and it rocked.
