I recently upgraded from a Kershaw to the M21-14SF. I noticed the blade had a diferent edge. I am weary about dulling or ruining the blade when sharpening. I have "V" shaped ceramic rods for sharpening. Any advise or tips would be helpful.

There isn't really a lot to do. Either you have to ignore the set angle on the crock sticks and use the rods individually, or you'll just have to grind away steel until the blade is reprofiled to the set angle.

I recommend getting a better sharpener.

I agree, just spent over half hour trying to sharpen. The ceramic rods barely scratched the steel. What kind of sharpener would you recommend for AUS-8 steel?

spyderco sharpmaker will sharpen just about anything you throw at it...imho its the best bang for your buck

I use a spyderco ultra fine whet stones for my crkt m16-13t and it gives a great edge. It's not actually a chisel grind its just very deeply ground one side and hardly at all on the other.
