Need to learn about stropping

I use a Sharpmaker with UF stones and a Work Sharp and can get my blades to shave.
I would like to go to the next level. I guess that would be by stropping.

I have made a strop and have the green compound on it.
I dont make my edges more dull by stropping but I dont know that Im getting them any sharper either.

Can anyone recomend a good website or video for instructions. Any tips by you guys would be appreciated also.

Light pressure, light on the compound. Use a Sharpie and make a few small marks on the bevel (no need to dirty up your strop) so you can see exactly where you hit and how many passes it takes to swipe off the marks. Use the smooth side of the leather and rough it up a bit with sandpaper.

There's a very good sticky at the top of the page ^.
