Need to share with people who understand.

Outstanding!! Congratulations! What wood is the 2003? Looks like satinwood?

I have a 2010 spalted maple for my boy. At one point I found a CA buckeye that matched his birth day but the year was wrong so I let it go and kept the spalted maple for him.

Then you definitely know what I mean! The inlay on the 2003LE is Curly Maple. While the photograph shows some of its character, it is probably the most interesting wood that I've seen in person. The almost translucent graining gives a shimmering, 3D effect when sunlight moves across the surface. It's very cool and I would highly recommend getting one in the rare event that an older Sebe with this inlay is offered up somewhere.

With this question, it just hit me that the 2000 is Maple Burl and the 2003 is Curly Maple. Interesting coincidence for a couple of family heirloom pieces I think.

Here's my Satinwood. It has the exact same translucence / 3D effect.

And here's my son's Spalted Maple:

Positive vibes by all I'm sure Steve!! I bet even those of us who would kill for the one you missed on the bay were hoping and praying that you got your Grail!! And even more so now that we know the reason!! We are all family here when it comes to "This Thing of Ours".
All the best my Friend!!
Huckleberry... I mean Dave ;)

Brother, you started all this with the 2003 of course. Blame Idaho!

I think that your positive energy did some wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey stuff when this all started to unfold a couple of weeks ago, and here we are. Thanks Huckleberry!
