HI guys,

I need some good tongs, proble going to order some online, only problem is I don't know what sizes and type would be most used in bladesmithing.
where to get them would help also.

Right now I am useing a set that I made out of old pilers, as you can guess the don't work all that well.

Any suggestions would be great.

I prefer to work with flat stock 1/4 inch thick or thicker

thanks a bunch
jimi

Go look at Tom Tongs from Tom Clark (http://www.ozarkschool.com). He has some very nice box-jaw tongs that work great for flat stock available in several sizes. The "Boz Jaw Z" tongs also look great for bladesmithing work, but I don't have a set yet.
