Need Your Help To Choose Makers Mark!

Okay, it's time for a new makers mark from a new company. I've been talking with Patricia at Img-Electromark and sent her a file of a makers mark I came up with. She took that and made a few other examples for me.

My Wife likes one of them really well. Unfortunately she doesn't understand how hard it can be to get them to come out all nice and crisp. I'm having a 5/8" and a 3/4" for starters. My old 1/2" stencils that consisted of my name and the word "maker" below it didn't turn out well all the time.

Anyway, I need your opinions on which makers mark you think would look best. I've put the letters 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'D' in the lower left corners. I appreciate all your help. I'll let this run for a spell and then let you know which one I came up with and which one my wife really likes.

Think about how your mark is going to scale at different sizes. Ideally you want something that is recognizable from 5 ft at least. Simplicity is always good.

I like "Lawson" in C with or without the state outline - IMO. Simple, memorable, and recognizable.

I agree with simple and clear, something you can type into a search engine.

That state outline thing is meaningless to those that aren't' from there.
I only caught onto that from the comment above.

Spell it out and use simple clear fonts.

Put your art into the knife and not the mark.

I like the rustic font used for Lawson in c and d, but the Oklahoma font does not work. I like c the best. I'm from TX so I know what OK looks like. :)

I vote for B but without the state underneath. You wont regret going with IMG. If Patricia has any advice take it, she knows her stuff.

Thanks for the input everyone! Still not sure which it'll be. I designed C myself. Patricia designed A, B and D. I didn't catch the state outline in A until someone mentioned it. I thought it was just a twister. Creative that Patricia is. On another forum, nearly everyone liked C the best...LOL

Hey Dan, my old stencils came from Ernie but I wasn't happy with them. They started leaving extra little marks around my logo after only a few uses. The ones from IMG are thicker. USAK sells stencils that etch the steel type. They are thicker and more durable than the ones from Ernie. I have one stencil for each steel type and have been using them since day one and they're still putting out sharp clean markings without the errant etches around the mark.

I use the outline of my state with my last name inside and a dot were I'm located. I have two different stencils ,big and small, that I use and it shows up well.
