I have two Alpha Dorados, both came with nylon sheaths. The charcoal wood handle has a "270" on the blade. The rosewood handle has a "270" with a "T" laying on it's side just to the right of the 270.

Fortunately, both say "Buck USA", and neither has the dreaded "China" stamp on it.

Are both of these the standard 420 HC? What is the sideways "T"?

Thanks

The sideways "T" is the date code for year of manufactur.

Depending on which side it's laying to, it's 2005 or 2006.

Here's a chart.

If they both say "270" then yes they are 420HC. "271" models are 154CM.
