Need your impression: BM 940-1 S90V and ZT 0770cf Elmax

I say forget them both and get the s110v 0801 ;)

Thank you, Popsickle, for the input.
In fact, I fell in love with 0801 right away when I saw the picture for the first time and really wanted to get one.
But then realized that it is quite heavy for me.
Still I may get it eventually, as I bought Spyderco Vallotton for the look anyway in the past.
I understand that you say to get the limited S110V version for rarity.
For now, I will leave them for you enthusiasts, so that you can get as many as you want:)

And no, I won't forget "them" either.

Oh.... I thought I got over with 940-1, but you made me to reconsider.
Three light BM folders on the wish list now......
Thanks,

Miso

It really is amazing and id highly highly recommend.

However... I think a 290$ asking price is pretty steep. I mean i guess its worth it, but barely. I got mine lightly used for 200 and couldnt be happier.

Always buy used unless you want a show piece :)

stonproject, please stop now......
My craving for it could explode in anytime......

Yes, the price is high.
It is about 35,000 yen (almost $300) here in Japan.
Outrageous!
I think I am gonna enjoy my new 0770cf for a while until my urge to buy a BM knife surfaces again.

I see that you like light knives, have you looked into the Al Mar Eagle HD in ZDP-189. 4" of ZDP and only 3.3 oz

found this picture on google images

Yes, I have.
It caught my eye while a web page showing random suggested ads.
I liked the look a lot.
But the package doesn't have much appeal to me.

ZDP-189 is a good steel, back-lock should be solid, and it has a thumb stud.
I don't know.
Maybe I am more used to modern lock mechanisms, as I really love the compression lock of Manix 2
It just makes sense, with easy one-hand opening and closing.
I guess that's one reason why I am looking into BM knives.

But thanks for the suggestion.
I will keep my eye on Al Mar knives to see if they offer something I like.
