Hi all,

I've been very busy the last couple weeks, and haven't had to chance to check in. My wife had pregnancy problems, leading to doctors inducing labor a couple weeks early. It was a long problematic labor, and eventually ended up in a C-Section. Abigail Joy Carter was born on May 8th, weighting 8 lbs, 9 oz. She has been in intensive care since birth. She's doing much better now, but there are still some issues to be resolved. She will hopefully be released before the week is out. If you would, please include her in your prayers.

Buzzbait, great picture, I pray your wife and daughter are doing well, and you also!

My youngest niece came into this world under similiar circumstances and was in a neo-natal I.C.U. for weeks when she was born, Friday night she will graduate from High School, so keep hoping and trust in God!!

Will do...and what a sweet baby girl you have. My youngest son spent the first two weeks of his life in intensive care and he has been the healthiest of my 4 kids. That was over 15 years ago. Stay positive and spoil the heck out of her!
 
What a little beauty! She'll be in my prayers too.

Don't worry... I have a feeling that she'll be out of NICU in short order and will start making your life interesting around the house! Congrats!:)

congratulations on yur beautifu daughter. I am sure that she will bring you much joy, and little sleep.

Go to the best bakery in town, buy 3 lbs of the best cookies they have, and deliver them to the neonatal ICU nurse's desk. Those folks do wonderful work, and they are not paid nearly enough.

I pray that all the medical issues are resolved, and that all you have to worry about are lack of sleep, toilet training, college funds, boyfriends.............:D
 
Buzzbait, I bet she is going to be your best fishing buddy in the world. What a beautiful child and all will be well. Prayers sent and hug her for me.:) Cindy
 
Prayers are going out for ya, Buzz. That looks to be a very healthy little girl to me though. Beautiful color. :thumbup: :)
 
Congradulations! That's a healthy weight for a couple of weeks preemie.

I hope your wife is recovering comfortably from the C-section.

You need only look at her to know that she is blessed. You all are very blessed. What a special little addition you have there. Isn't it funny how the most important responsibility you'll ever have will involve loving and caring for her. It seems so simple and perfect. :)

I'll be happy to add her to my prayers. She's probably talking to the big guy herself though. Look at how precious she is, she probably has a direct line. :)

Keep the faith, things will work out for the good. Now you need to start a knife collection for her :D
