need your thoughts on custom order

well it seems my memory is not as great as the hard drive on my computer.

these were offered in late 07

in early 09 they asked if i still wanted order open

i really want to clarify that I love their work and knives

just wanted to get some feedback if i was too picky/unreasonable for the most successful knife manufacturer in the last decade...

would it be unreasonable to have no problem waiting another 3-4 years...I dont have a problem waiting....but I worry I might be forgotten...and I dont care about the price increases...? to an extent

Those photos just don't look 'right' to me. They appear dull & washed out. Here they are photo-corrected by my paintshop pro pgm., and I'd bet these are a truer representation of what you really rejected. Just my $.02 -Rob

your "corrected" images look a lot better, but those images i posted were wghat i got in the email. no adjustments.

i am not mad about not picking one of the 2 samples. i just figured over 3-4 years i would of had more options!

when I lived in alaska I could of bought mammoth bark from any of the "pawn shops" in big blocks unfinished/raw. I still have many contacts up there to get some.

but when I called crk at the time, they said they are very picky about this and that and a lot of raw material doesnt work out...so I just let them do their thing.

I have 3 more years before I retire and hope til nail one down before then...

in the meantime, I still search the internet for knives I like

I hope you find what you're looking for. I can't explain why your original photos from CRK look as they do, but I'm pretty certain my 'corrected' ones are more accurate. You can take these images and email them to Heather, asking for her thoughts, or you could always call, and ask her to view this thread. They do look. Seems to me, they did have (very close to) what you were looking for.
