Needs Work

I just got my first Kershaw, the Needs Work, and it is an awesome knife. I was just wondering. How long will this thing hold an edge compared to a SAK or 420HC? Also, are all Needs Work 13C26, or are some of them 440A?

The Needs Work is 13C26, which is a steel that holds an edge better than 420HC or SAK steel in my experience. The difference isn't huge, but it's noticable enough to justify the upgrading Kershaw recently did of its steels for knives like the Leek and others.

Guilo, Kershaw has seen a pretty significant performance improvements over both 420HC and 440A in the change over to 13C26.

The Need's Work were all done up in 13C26.
