Ok this has been bothering me for numeorus weeks now and I cant take it anylonger..

I had a deal (potential deal) working.. agreed on certain things etc..But I felt uncomfortable he wouldnt send me the GIFT CARD..Just wanted to send the number on the back after you scratched it off..He eventually consented to send card..
But damage was done..I felt uncomfortable and I bailed on the deal.

$$NO MONIES$$ Exchanged hands..YES..Will I admit I did commit ..But after some exchanges with this guy. I simply didnt follow thru...He had hardly any feedback and it was MY CHOICE to back out..
AGAIN Just NEED TO BE CLEAR....NO $$$ Exchanged hands..
So this dude---goes by "FOILER" Had himself a little PITY PARTY and left me NEG FEEDBACK...

So now Im here needing others veiw on this.. Need some Opinions and 2cents..I am by far perfect and I have had my fair share of infractions and slaps on the hands.I took them like I should ..Owned them and corrected my wrongs. I actually keep a RULES SHEET on my desk now so I document my posts and when not to post to get Moderators up in arms-They have enough to do... I value my REPUTATION here and I love this community..

YES I finally caved and after NUMEROUS weeks of this festering..I left FOILER NEG feedback as well..
Should I have stooped to his level..ABSOLUTELY NOT.. I own that..

Ok enough of my ranting..Just need some feedback..NOT BY any means saying this guy "FOILER" is not good to deal with in the least..I am merely expressing my interactions with him and how it went south very fast!!!..

I thank you all in advance..

Did you initially report the negative feedback?

I got to tell you that if I bought a gift card, or agreed to buy a gift card and all I was going to get was some numbers and not the card, I would run as fast and far from the deal as I could. Even if the seller capitulated d agreed to my initial demand for the card I would still do what you did and back out. Once the deal got clouded by the numbers instead of card as the for sale post said it seems perfecctly OK for the buyer to then take a pass. All the fault, in MY opinion lies with the seller for being lazy and not wanting to put the card in an envelope and mailing it, instead wanting to send some numbers via a E-mail.
As for the negative feedback; I do not think either one of you did anything to warrant a negative, it should be reserved for truly bad intentions. In this case it was simply a deal that went south...............

When I buy Japan itunes gift cards on ebay it's typical to just get the numbers on the back of the card.

However, sending a gift card by mail should only cost one stamp if it's within the USA, so I don't see why he would have a problem mailing it to you.

I'm not sure negative feedback was necessary for either of you.

This isn't the first time negative has been left, with no goods/money exchanging hands at all. I think there should be a strict exchange rule. If someone leaves negative just because they are upset a member backed out of a deal, when they merely thought it was going to happen an infraction should be issued. This should be in B/F's exchange rules and it should also state that the party unjustly receiving the bad feedback will incur an infraction as well, if they leave retaliatory feedback.

Instead the rule should state the bad feedback left when nothing has exchanged hands, should be brought immediately to an exchange mods attention and it will be, upon a satisfactory investigation removed, with the party leaving it suffering an infraction. This crap happens way too often and also too often the wronged party jumps in and leaves negative before it's brought here. (and what good does that do?)

ditto on that one

Thank you all for comments...Just needing some back up on my thoughts...
This guy "FOILER" was pissed and acted like a kid...
I even told him numerous times..WELCOME to the world of disappointmnet..Deals go thru and you are THRILLED..Or the seller just changes their mind and simply cant let that GRAIL go..It is what it is..Upsetting...Frustrating..ALL OF THE ABOVE..

BUT leaving NEG feedback because your feelings got bruised..
REALLLLLLY...
I try to do my best to be fair and allow people to change their minds...Its cool ...we all have done it..HUMAN NATURE..
But doing this simply showed me..I will NOT BE DEALING with this member ""FOILER"" EVER AGAIN..Not only because of how he acted..Simply because of PRINCIPLE and his first impression on his INTEGRITY or lack there of...

There is no way I would buy a gift card and just take the numbers. Can you even use it that way other than online?I would not think if I walked into Best Buy with just numbers from a card they would not take it.It would also raise a red flag to me that the person may have just wrote the numbers down off someones card they had access too.As far as the feedback goes there was no deal to leave it on.

Just wanted to bump this up and say how much BS it is to have a good reputation tainted but a little baby over material objects that never even exchanged hands. Thanks for creating this thread sir as Ive now got another flake on my ignore list I never have to worry about. Also sorry how your other thread turned out/locked, completely disagree with its outcome as well.
