Although I despise and loath the appalling, long running Aussie TV soap "Neighbours" and can proudly say that I have NEVER watched it I DO like the theme song.
It would be Un-Australian of me if I didn't sing it in a loud, drunken voice every Saturday night at about 03.00hrs until my neighbours call the police.
With that in mind I just returned after four days and nights from a fishing, boating holiday with my family on the Clyde river (Batemans Bay NSW south coast) -absolutely stunning.
To find this on my kitchen table thanks to the good standing I have in my community and the neighbourliness of my street. It was a pretty good feeling.

YES ! its the 74 ranch hand with antique green bone.Safely arrived.
I was beset by indecision over this one stemming from the 88Abilene that I bought before Xmas. Copperhead or Stone Moss? not an easy decision.Copperhead won out as I had been admiring for quite a while so I stuck to my guns and went for it. Although the stone moss green is beautiful. But hey we can't have everything can we? Well yes we can because After similar agonising over blood red ranch hand or antique green I decided to once again go for first cab off the rank in terms of colour preference. Is the antique green as nice as the stone moss? At first, without seeing it in person, I though hmmm looks a bit dull but that's part of the whole 'antique' thing. It's meant to look old.Is it really green? because I like green.Anyhow I'm liking it a lot.I'm also becoming a Clawed/ Grizzly cut jigging addict.Tell me what you think

Cheers- I like how the bone on the 2011 forum knife "pops" in this pic- it wasn't especially sunny either.

We share same status among the neighbours, though postman is bit suspicious.
Great knife

I really like the looks of that meako! The color is just great, and I have been admiring the grizzly jigging a bit as of late. How does that jigging feel in hand? Both nicks same side is another big plus for me, and the frame size is a perfect one, I almost wish I hadn't seen this one now! ;) :)

Feels great-nice and grippy and looks great. Notice the 3 different jigging patterns in the pic. All are good of course but the clawed/grizzly pattern really gives it the "antique/olde worlde" nudge I think.

Agreed. How does the clip compare to the absolutely perfect clip on the Forum knife?

Very nice Meako

Can you stop singing now please?! :D

Oh my ears ....aaaaaagh!
But Meako my friend - that knife looks great! awesome colour! and those Blade Forum e/o's always look beautiful don't they!

I can't go past it for utility, style, quality, beauty and finesse in a pocket knife. The BF 2011 that is.
Jack its only 19.20hrs where I am -given the time delay I'll start the chorus about 11.00 tomorrow when I'm back at work ON AUSTRALIA DAY -sacrilege.
I'll probably get bucketed but I am(politician condescending voice) prepared to make any sacrifice for the good of the world community.

LOL! Have a great Australia Day my friend, toss a prawn on the barbie for me ;) :D

Fine knife Meako....I havent been drawn to that hard jigging ,but i must say it looks great on your knife....Australia day you say?...The barman at my local is an under armer also,,i will commiserate with him tomorrow............FES

Fes-please pass my celebratory felicitations to the barman and shout him a beer. You my friend and your coterie of kiwi compadres typically behind the times unfortunately had to wait another six years for nationhood.
Interestingly just up the hill from MT Keira School is the residence of Edmund Bartons grandaughter a lovely old lady who passed on a couple of years back at the ripe old age of 102.Edmund was Australias first Prime Minister which is kind of equal to President these days. So there is a direct link to history. And Australia Day.
I now pronounce that more people on this forum are aware of what Australia Day is actually for than most Aussies do.
In fact If I was a visitor to Wollongong on Australia day I could be forgiven for thinking it is a celebration of underage drinking. Meanwhile please enjoy this photo of some good things in life.

How was the fishing, what do you catch, and how do you prepare them usually.

These things interest me.:) I loved the shot of you and your son.

Mmmmmm, nice relaxation spot!!!
Looks like that around here, except there was frost on everything this morning.
And my toes are definitely covered in wooly socks!

Whatever they are feeding that Grizzly Bear at GEC, it's working!
Nice knife, and nice job on the jigging and dying!!

Around here, those of Scots origin are eating Haggis, in honor of Robbie Burns.
And jigging of a different sort!:D

Looks like heaven on earth! A quiet day fishing. :)

Am I the only one nervous about seeing that Knife teetering on the railing next to the water??? Lol

PS: I love EO 85's!

I saw that knife teetering! But there's no bait on the hook, so - no problem!!
:)

Meako.....Thanks for the history lesson...I will buy the barman a beer as you suggest.
