Time to let one of the big guns of the collection go...
I have a like new condition Neil Blackwood Ver. 1 Curr liner lock with contoured black/green micarta scales, tip-up carry, and a beadblasted S30V blade for sale. This piece is big, tough, and beefy, with a 3/16" thick blade, and it is constructed with the flawless precision that Neil's knives have become known for. Neil does not take orders anymore, so his folders are becoming more and more difficult to find. One thing that makes this particular piece stand out is that its clip is mounted for tip-up carry, which is something that, to my understanding, Neil is almost never willing to do on his folders. Also, the handle scales are fully contoured, both up and down and front to back, so there is actually an appreciable palm swell on this piece that increases gripping comfort without decreasing pocketability of the knife.
The Curr listed here never been carried, used, or resharpened, and the original edge on it from Neil is sharp. There is one small, light handling mark on the clip that prevents me from saying this piece is dead mint, but it otherwise is. The opening action is very smooth, the lock-up is rock solid, and the blade centering is dead perfect.
***TRADED***
The specs:
Condition: Like new
Blade length: 4" from tip to handle
Overall length: 9"
Blade thickness: 3/16" at ricasso
Blade steel: S30V
Blade finish: Beadblasted
Edge: Plain
Handle scale material: Black/green micarta, fully contoured
Lock: Titanium liner lock, beadblasted
Backspacer: Black/green micarta
Clip: Tip up, titanium, beadblasted
For payment on this piece, I strongly prefer USPS money orders, but I will also accept PayPal or personal check if I know you. If you are paying by PayPal, I will cover the fees, but the payment has to be sent with a PayPal-confirmed address (including the green "confirmed" marker) listed in the invoice, and I will only ship to that PayPal-confirmed address. I reserve the right to wait for personal checks to clear before I ship.
I will consider a trade for a numbered Strider RC. Cash or other knives of interest would have to be added accordingly.
I will also consider trades (+ or - cash or other knives of interest) for custom folders and custom balis. I am especially interested in the following makers:
JL Williams
Tim Galyean
Kit Carson
Jim Burke
Rick Hinderer
Charles Marlowe
DB Fraley
Deryk Munroe
Tom Mayo
Neil Blackwood
Flavio Ikoma
Mauricio Dobruski (balis only)
Ken Onion
Phil Boguszewski
Todd Begg
I may consider trades for other custom folders not listed above. However, I am not interested in serrated blades, production knives aside from the specific aforementioned RC, or fixed blades other than a Galyean Ukiah, a Primos Montero, small (less than 5" blade) Hossoms, or a Russ Andrews or John Young at this point in time.
Feel free to post, email, or PM any questions. Thanks for looking!
