All the best from out west Neil, must be abit of karma or something as I have my NASA hat on from Kennedy today at work as well.

As Mike said, Neil's good people.

Get well quick Neil! I really appreciate you carrying left hand models and the Micarta Inlay Seb I got from you is my current fave.:cool:;):)

I hope all turns out well. That sounds like an unpleasant surgery and will be praying for you. My dealings with him have been great. Watch the pain killers bud, the less you take the better off you will be in the long run. I know too many people (even in my church) who have become addicted to them. It's too easy to get on and too hard to get off. Not trying to preach here I wish you the best! Later bud-
Jeff

Thanks for the update, Neil! All the best for a more than a 90% recovery.

Beautiful dog!

All the best,
Rich

BTW: I have been in two horrific car accidents. The pain is so bad sometimes I just want to give up and take my meds (four 10mg percocets daily because of the chronic intense pain) but am doing my best not to. Some of the docs say surgery may be my best bet but I know If they fuse my discs I will need pain killers for a while, possilble becoming dependent on them again. I don't like back surgery or oxycodone. I'm 28 years old and am hoping I can tough it out through the hard parts, but when the pain gets really bad, I can actually feel my heart straining because of the pain. Anyone who prays to the Lord above, I could really use your prayers over the next few months as I will be going through some really tough times. I don't share my personal life much, but feel like everyone here is a friend and are good people. My mother was in the car too, and she has broke her back in two places, has two herniated disks and a bulging one. And lets not forget Neil, and our troops- Jeff

TAKE YOUR PAIN MEDS!! Research shows you heal quicker and better when the pain and inflammation is controlled. You also DO NOT become addicted to pain meds if you only use them only to reduce the pain and not to get high. Some discomfort is OK but chronic pain from injury does you no good, nor does just putting up with it.
Stick in there man.
Greg

Thanks Greg, however, your body does develop dependence with opiates, if taken every day for months. Even if you only take one pill a day. It is chronic pain and I agree "just putting up with it" is not good. It will eventually make anyone depressed, even someone who is extremely happy. So I am going to try some other therapy for the pain. I don't want to live on pain killers until they kill me when I'm 50. Thanks Greg-Jeff

OMG... couple of days off the forum and...

Anyway, best wishes for you my friend! Heal fast! You'll be OK, I'm sure!
