Did a deal, I was not happy. Sent him a note saying I wanted to reverse the trade less than an hour after getting his package. He replies that he has alrteady "given" one of mine away, and sells the other knife I traded to him less than 24 hours later while we are discussing the situation. (Then a week or so later sells the same knife he says he "gave away")

traders beware.

A deal ain't a deal unless BOTH sides are happy!

We start ignoring that and this trade forum will collapse.

Thats it in a nutshell
BTW just made a note not to ever trade with Nelly1974.

It is engraved in freaking stone!!!

A trade is not a trade unless both parties are happy............period

Sorry to see this , I never use a trade knife till they say done deal .:o
Exactly. I'll try my best to describe a knife, flashlight, whatever to the best of my abilities, but if the other guy says "I don't want it," the only answer is to send it back, no questions asked.

Sorry to hear of the bad news, Broos.

That's not right! I would think that an inspection period of at least a day would be common knowledge?

I agree, both parties should be satisfied.

i always make the stuff sound worse than it is if anything (vs better) and always would reverse a swap, as long as its in a reasonoble amount of time (say a week or so) never has happened though.

At the very least in this situation, the knives received by Nelly should have been held on to, until Broos sent an email, pm, or posted that he was happy, and vice versa, although Broos appears to be in the right in all of this.

The trade forums is here to trade off for what we want and help others get what they want fairly, and what i mean by fairly is if you do a trade and the other member isn't happy for any reason what so ever, you undo the trade and be adult about it,pretty simple isn't it?Whatever the knives were worth, there not worth more than a good reputation, are they? Just my 2cents worth.

I agree, depending on what you've traded it IS common knowledge (or common sense) to give a day inspection period on the item's traded to make sure both parties are happy with the trade
