For sale today I have a beautiful custom friction folder from a new maker, Tyler Rippin (Nervana Knife Co). I purchased this from Tyler through Instagram https://www.instagram.com/nervana_company/
This is one of the first friction folders Tyler has made and I commissioned it a while back, but I have since gotten out of friction folders and I could use the cash for some GECs. OAL on this is about 6 3/4" with a 2 1/2" blade of acid etched 1095 steel. Ivory paper micarta scales with blue dyed maple burl bolsters, maroon inlay, antique brown Westinghouse backspacer, black G10 liners, brass pins with brass bead. Kydex neck/pocket sheath with excellent retention.
Fit and finish is good. Very smooth open and close, centered blade with no play, and the transitions between materials are very smooth. Nice filework on the spine/tang. The pins are a bit proud but I haven't found anything else of note. CRAZY sharp as well.
I'm asking $125 OBO. I am interested in trades for GEC #15s of any sort other than Crown Lifters. Please send PM or email to mbplitt@gmail.com, thanks!
