Hard Edge Knives

A large band saw in a northern California saw mill hit a spike in the late 1980s and destroyed the blade and it was cut down into 3 foot long sections each 12 inches wide. A friend of mine was able to get three of these and gave me one and kept the other two. I cut and finished mine into blades in the mid 1990. He just have me a second one in exchange for heat treating some of his blades and I plasma cut it into 30 various blade, this is is one.

I think I got one of these from you maybe 5 years ago when you first started posting. I had reservations about it but it has proven to be one of the best users I ever got. Terrific knife! Balance is great and it does the work. I think the steel may be L6. In any case this looks to be brother to mine. Good buy for somebody.
Sorry for the redundant post about the steel type. It didn't load 1st time. I remembered from otherwhen.:-)

Thanks drduciati and I appreciate the comments and I'm glad to hear the brother of this knife is holding up and serving well. Kelley
