Here is a Nessmuk Skinner I cut out of an old band saw blade that came from a saw mill here in Northern California. The blade is 4.9 inches long, 9.8 inches overall and is .1 inches thick. The handle is stabilized spalted Mango wood from the Big Island of Hawaii. A Kydex sheath comes with this knife and is setup to accept a standard Tek Lok.
SOLD Price is $80 plus $5 Shipping
I prefer PayPal (my account is kelley_ward@keysight.com) but take other forms of payments.
I make a lot of these and and get a lot of great feedback on how well they work and hold up. Here is a few testimonials from some of my customers:
1. I have one of Kelley's Nessmuk versions of this knife/blade steel. One of my favorites.
This one is even nicer and the price is not even worth the hesitation. Just buy it!
2. Great knife to have. Used mine chopping last weekend. It was still razor sharp at the end of the day. Cut my hand cleaning the blade.
3. Bamboo roots are tough. I use a 70 year old Collins machete to split the large root pad. This knife and a hammer to the spine to pound out smaller pads I plan to pot. A few swipes with a Felco diamond and the working edge is back. It's an abusive relationship that's working out. The beatings bring out the character. I own 3 and believe everyone should own one. $80? Not sure how he's making money on this.
4. I got mine last week. I've not been disappointed in my first one from several years back. Very tough steel.
