I'm in the market for a cookset(cookpot) that will nest over a Nalgene or Guyot 1quart bottle, much like the GSI cup. I've seen some from snow peak that look good, but wanted to get some user advice.

Which ones have you tried, what would you recommend?

I'd try a tin can, maybe a 13oz coffee can, or a big 700ml soup can would fit. Might have to put a few layers of tape around the bottle to make it snug.

Snow Peak's Trek 700 cup nests perfectly over a 1 quart plastic Gatorade bottle.

I've had the snow peak trek 700 for about 3 maybe 4 years now, and it has been an outstanding companion, I've done everything in this mug/bowl/cup/fry pan/wok/whatever. I mean, coffe, stew, fried ham, bacon, eggs, soup, everything, and it fits right over a nalgene or guyot

Yeah, Snow Peak makes a nice one. I have one from Olicamp (I think) that fits a Nalgene perfectly.

Snow Peak does some pretty cool stuff with nesting in their line. I was at a trade show where the vendor rep took an entire series of maybe 10 Snow Peak Titanium pots, pans, and mugs, and showed how they nested perfectly into each other. They have a reputation for being expensive, but they are actually not bad when you look at the price of similar quality items from other manufacturers.

There are some nice pots and cups out in anodized aluminum from GSI and others. It saves you weight, and in the case of Snowpeak Ti products, saves you quite a bit of cash. If you are going to hump the gear in your pack on multi mile hikes, buy the Ti if it makes you feel better. The Ano Aluminum will work as good, or better, and weigh just a bit more depending upon the piece you choose, than Ti. Campmor sells most of the decent brands of cookware from mid to higher priced units. You need to decide what you want to use it for, then for how many before you get a kit.
