I just read through the nevada knife laws;

http://www.lazydragon.com/laws/nevada.htm

Section 8.h says:

(h) “Switchblade knife” means a spring-blade knife, snap-blade knife or any other knife having the appearance of a pocket knife, any blade of which is 2 or more inches long and which can be released automatically by a flick of a button, pressure on the handle or other mechanical device, or is released by any type of mechanism. The term does not include a knife which has a blade that is held in place by a spring if the blade does not have any type of automatic release.

So my legal-eze is a little bit rusty; this means that folding knives over 2" are ok as long as they are not spring assisted??

I didn't see any other portion of the law that covered CCWing a knife.

I'm planning on moving to Reno within the next 3 months so I'd like to know the law.. Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

I live in Reno btw.
I interpret it as: switchblade must be <2" but any non-auto knife may be carried.
I carry a kershaw blur, 3 3/8" blade. To my knowledge there is no legal limit here but, if you walk around with a 6" folder expect to be questioned. If you have a CCW I believe you can carry a switchblade.
EDIT: It says that switchblade does not include those released by a non-automatic opening system. So AOs are fine since you must initialize the movement of the blade.

I carried a 4" folder in Las Vegas, Henderson, Primm and Laughlin during a Nevada vacation last year. In and out of casinos, hotels, restaurants and tourist destinations such as Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. I concealed it well in my right front pocket and never had a problem. If you take the inside tour of Hoover Dam, where the control rooms are located, please be advised that they use metal detectors and you will definitely not be able to take any edged weapons or firearms (licensed or not) into these areas. We toured the outside only and were not questioned in any way. Enjoy your stay in Nevada. This was my second trip and I really enjoy that state!

Leaving NY to spend time with my family in Nevada (Las Vegas) is a breath of fresh air. Personal liberty and accountability. I go to every gun store and knife shop in town, to browse and buy and talk with the owners. They usually are incredulous at the bullcrap I have to put up with here with regards to knives and firearms. I've purchased folders in LV and carried them everywhere clipped to my pocket or in IWB. Never a problem.
