Never did this before....I'm impressed!

First I put the clip into some KLEAN STRIP paint stripper, its a paste. Let it sit for around 15 minutes. Rubbing it with a q-tip. After cleaned it off and got some polishing compound from my dremmel...went to work and then got a clean buffing pad and then buffed it again all with the dremmel. Then just wipped it clean with a cloth. My wife and son said it look better then the clip on my manix 2 XL. Gonna do it with her purple delica.

Did you coat it with a clear laquer or polyurethane to preserve the finish? Or is it stainless underneath? I might just do something like that with one of my C-60 Ayoob models>> it would look good on a C-60. It is interesting what simple things can be done to improve a Spyder.

Nah...didn't do anything to it after, it looks stainless. Like I said...first one I did but it looks just like the clip on my manix 2 xl.

Yeah, those clips are definitely stainless. Almost have to be as easy as the coating comes off.
