Never had a Hell Raiser until now......

Back in January a fellow forumite parted with a mud razer. Now it's MINE. All MINE!!!!! Love that knife!

Congrats on your score!

So you see the dilemma I have then....Finding enough drinkers to polish off a keg of Schaefer in one night :D

You're going to have to buy a couple of cases of something else. Once you get 'em good and drunk though, they won't care if it's Schaefer or not.

Oooohhh, the headaches we will have. :D

Now that you have that fine knife you got to start spelling it right... Razor, not Raiser. Or just HR. Man I'm just messin with ya:D

Great knife...wish I still had mine:(

Congrats and thanks for the pic:thumbup:

BTW- I'm the worse speller here... why I had to mess with ya

I do appreciate you pointing that out LOL...I knew there had to be a z in there somewhere.

Yeah I know, by if you put it side-by-side with a Hell Razor its has the same Special Forces (SF) handle and the same blade dimensions. When I put the three together, you would bet money they are ALL Outlaw varients.

Not really true.

The Hell Razor is made from 3/16" stock, the SFNO/SOW is quite a bit thicker.

The blade and pommel are shaped differently.

I have a SOW and a Hell Razor and they feel quite different in hand. Both are great.

Beside the handle, the only similarity is their size.

Typicly a variant is made from the same blank as a production model, the HR and SFNO do not use the same blank.

Here is a little compare to the gray of the FFBM with Blue/Red G10. The Hell Raiser is definitely lighter.

Part of my Independence day celebration was throwing my Mud Razor and my FBMCG at a tree.

I started with the Mud Razor, then switched to the FBMCG when a buddy wanted to try the Mud Razor.

I wish I had stuck with the Mud Razor, my shoulder is sore from throwing that FBMCG. I can only imagine what a FFBM would have done to my arm.

The blade is differently shaped which is what I believe he was after, "no CR and a recurve". The pommel is shaped differently, but both use SF grips, I know as they can be swapped.

My SOW and SFNO are in the Custom shop getting mags, as soon as I get them back I will do a side by side with the HR.

The thickness is very close, my HR and Mud Razor measure in at .20 the SOW at .21

I agree they both feel great in the hand ;)

I wish I could throw a knife as accurately as I can shoot an arrow :D

If it wasn't cut from the same blank, the SOW wouldn't have anything to do with the SFNO. They are almost completely different knives, as is the HR and SFNO. The SOW is more like a SF mini mojo. (It has the same blade as the mini rat mojo.)

I loved the design of the HR blade, but didn't care much for the SF handles. I have a thing for recurves and would have liked a.. recurved Hell Razor.

The only Busse handle that I like better than the Special Forces is the EU-17.

If you want recurve without the SF handle, you might want to look at the Muddy Mojo (it has an EU-17 style handle).

It's larger than the HR but pretty thin and light.

I had to use a very large tree (more than 6' wide) and I nearly missed several times. Only a small percentage of those hits actually stuck.

I have new respect for Cobalt's throwing skills.
