Never loan out your sleeping bag.

I lent out my best packpack to a teenage girl, several years ago, after she indicated she was going on a three day hike with firiends.

The backpack came back totally thrashed. Dirty, holes in it,and broke zippers. Even after I spent 3 hours cleaning it up it has never been the same.

I seldom lend good equipment to anyone after that.
