Purchased a P'Kal last week off of eBay, never met a knife that hated me as much as this one. It's already cut me 2 times the first day. It is deadly sharp. Held it in my hand trying to find the right grip and it cut the fold between my palm and fingers. So sharp I didn't notice until 15 minutes later.
Today was done with it and went to close it, cut my forefinger.
This is not a knife to be handled lightly.
Very dangerous blade, thinking of getting another.

And they say a sharp knife is a safe knife;)
Interesting handle configuration on those though, I gotta say!

It just want attention, or perhaps its just alittle thirsty. Every knife likes to have a sip of blood once in awhile

Actually, it's the other way around.

You don't like the knife.
So you keep injuring yourself with it, and soon you won't be carrying it.
It'll go into the back of a drawer, or get sold.

My Dodo gave me a "love nip" today at work. didn't really feel it, but all the sudden blood is pouring off my thumb.

The Japanese used to believe that some blades enjoyed the taste of blood more than others, and that you had to be careful around such blades.
Other people seem to believe that the frequency with which someone cuts themselves on a knife is positively related with the degree to which they like the knife. I once had a customer (who bought a knife from me for her boyfriend) say to me, "he loves it! he's already cut himself twice."

I haven't cut myself with my P'Kal yet... My Dodo has bit the back of my hand once (it opened up in my pocket when i reached in for my keys or something). And my Karambit, well, nothing yet, but that's because it doesn't see as much play time because i'm scared.

they just want to play a little longer.

i was playing with my mini-manix trying different ways to snap/flick it open and closed and the INSTANT i had the thought to put it away, it slammed down on my index finger.

what to do but clean up and continue practising with my other hand.
