This is a new one for me. I remember the original Wegner design Spydee, but I guess I was away from knives too long and missed this one. I saw it yesterday while out shopping and decided it would make a nice little edc.

What can you tell me about it? How long was it produced and what are the overall thoughts about it?

Was in production, or at least in the lineup, for about two years. Released in late 2005, dropped in late 2007. General opinion went something like this: excellent ergonomic design handicapped by "cute", potentially gunk collecting, paw prints. Some also thought the price was overly high. Doubt it will ever happen, but would love to see this knife given a totally "gentrified". Ditch the clip and the Boye dent, give it a full flat ground damascus blade, front and rear bolsters, and stag, ivory, or burl wood scales.

I love the look of the knife. And nice SF there!

I think the blade shape is similar to my D'Allara, and I also like the little pawprints, although those may accumulate dust and dirt over time.

I have two and love the way the blade presents while in hand. To me it just feels right.
The plain edged are already drying up at the discount knife stores and I predict, due to it's uniqueness this one is going to go up fast over the next year or two.
