This was in this month's Byte. I'm really impressed and interested to know when these will be available.

You have to order these through Never Summer. They're taking pre-orders now through November 1. According Never Summer's Facebook page the knives are $100 but you have to be a Firefighter to order.

I too would like one of these but I don't know any FF's to purchase for me. :(

I contacted Never Summer about these exclusive Native5 LC200N DLC ComboEdge Lightweight Red FRN. Here's what they said:

"We are asking everyone who is interested to email over proof of service in the fire industry. We are doing this to ensure that the boards and knives are exclusively being ordered by firefighters and for firefighters. I've been getting a lot of ID pictures and pictures in uniform. Once I get that from you, I will be able to send over ordering details."​
 
Even though I'm not a FF I'd still like to show my support and would love to have one of these.

That's also my sentiment and I responded in kind to Never Summer earlier today:

"I’m not a professional firefighter.

However, if you have any left after sales to firefighters I’d be very interested in purchasing one. Worthy cause."

I just had mine arrive. Really a stunning knife.

I would love one of these too. I'll probably make my way down to the spyderco factory outlet and see what they can do for me down there :)
 
Anyone who has put theirs to use, please let us know what you think of LC200 in the Spyderedge! Thanks!
 
Wife picked one up today at the factory store, so they still have a few there. Great looking knife, and the Native has always been one of my favorites.
 
Mine is scheduled for delivery today!!! I just checked the Spyderco website and there are only 3 left. Get 'em while you can!
 
I'm only a volunteer, so I didn't think that counted back when I had the funds to order one. Now I don't have the funds and I can order one

What do you mean? "Only a volunteer". I am a retired firefighter of 35 years, and I worked with many volunteer firefighters over the years. Volunteer's blood is the same color as a career's blood. Their tears are the same. The job they (YOU) do for your fellow man is the same. I am proud of all firefighters, career and volunteer. Thank you for your service. I hope and pray that you have a long and safe career.
