Never too late...my first 110

Interesting thing about a 110. Bought my first one back in the early 70's for somewhere around $18. I could polish it up a little and sell it on ebay for anywhere from 30 to 100 bucks, depending on how bad someone wanted an oldie.

Unlike WH4F and his 80,, I have no earthly idea how many 110's I currently have. But I doubt it is 80...(whew :p)

The new custom should arrive today,,, :D Will be my first BeeGee 42 user.

Congrats on your Buck 110. I got my first one this year too. Then I got my second one (collector tin) a few weeks ago.

I second tholiver's comment, I wish the Custom Shoppe would do the 112.

I *might* have a dozen 110's but nowhere near 80!!!!!!! I hope someday I may have 80! ;)

Sorry Bud,,,somehow I got you mixed up with Scotts post. I think he is a fibbin about the 80. I bet he has a lot more n that stashed away. :p:D

ive had my 110 since 1967,the 440c blade is getting thin but it still walks and talks very briskly.110s,cant be beat.

I bought my first 110 about 2 weeks ago. i was going to mailorder it (much cheaper) but instead i bought one on impulse at walmart.
I paid about 15-20$ more but i had the clerk show me all their 110s so i could paw them and pick out the one with the tightest lockup.
Now i want a 112FG as well. I will have to mailoder that one as i can't get it locally.

Man, the 110's at my Walmart are only about $30, so where did you see them online for $15 - $20 less than that?? Let me know where and I'll go buy all they have!;)

yeah, buck is pretty cool i really like my 110. the ergos of the handle is absolutely ace.

Got my first real 110 a couple of months ago. I'm 47 now ! I spent many younger years with only one knife, a 110 copycat. Maybe you fellas heard about it;it's a G-96. Says Paterson, NJ one side, made in Japan the other. Late '70's I'm guessing.
Anyways, I though I might as well get the real deal. Fit and finish are awesome for such a widely available knife. That old copy was put through the ringer though. Blade wobbles so much, you could use it for a fly swatter.
Yup, the 110 is a good piece of machinery; tight as a drum. :)

I was 65 when I got my first one. Prior to that I had one of the G-96's I'd bought years ago when I couldn't afford anything better. I did have one of the 111 Classic's that had been given to me by my Mother in Law as a gift in the 80's.

I'm now coming up on 68, and I "think" I have around 200 110's alone. I quit counting at 150 and that was some time ago. They are an addiction.

I had a few knives from G 96 back in the 1980s. Well made Japanese knives in their day.

Dave you have bought a lot of 110s in three years my friend!!!

I have SOLD every custom/production knife I own and gone to all Bucks

.............

on order from custom shop BG-42 and Koa and a BG-42 and stag

and I plan on using everyone of them EDC

Huh?

When did the BG-42 become available from the Custom Shop again???

Guys, I went and looked thru some of my old wholesale catalogs (1979) and found then the G-96 sold for more than the Buck 110 and I remember thinking MMmm . It could have been because of the Tarriffs ? But I didn't bite on it . Instead I stayed with my Buck that I bought a few years earlier . Time has since proved my decission correct . There are other brands that don't stand up like the 110 a well made knife . DM

My favorite large folder, like Ed,I EDC my BP 110 in CPM154 alot.Am going to Wallmart today, might have to pick up a generic 110 in 420HC.
