Neverdie36 responded to an item I had for sale here on the forums. After the initial tickler, the hard hit came with, "If you've been a member here since '99, why don't you have a feedback score?"

He asked not only that but several "tough" questions. From his responses and follow-up questions, I have no doubt that he would have bailed on the deal had something been fishy.

I explained how the forum was different back then, how I had taken a 4 year sabbatical from the forums, and how many people that could vouch for me are either dead, crazy, or have moved on. (There is some great old archived feedback on me out there though!)

I'm not pointing this out to bash the guy, but to use him as a shining example of how we should all do business on the internet these days.

Ask the tough questions! Pay with Credit Card, postal money order, or check if possible. In my experience, PayPal has become a horrible and dangerous company to get into bed with. My family is out thousands of dollars because of them. That is food from my children's mouths; something I don't take lightly. Many of you only take PayPal, and that is your right, but how many of you "hide" the true nature of your transaction from them? Do you think they will help you if something goes wrong? I know the post office, my credit card company, or even my bank will come to my aid because it's what they do, even if I say, "I bought a knife / gun / box of ammo...."

But I digress.... this is about the good experience I had with Neverdie36.

Thank you for your purchase, your (eventual) trust, and the chance to help out a fellow forumite in the exercise of a little capitalistic and personal liberty.
