Interesting new project from our favorite cutlerer. Smooth bone handles and a nickel silver inlay. I am reminded of the old 428 selector where only 1 of the two blades locked, both blades lock on this one. There was another 110/112 combination knife issued about 2005 as I recall. If anyone has a picture of that one please feel free to post it. Were there ever any others? Customs? If you've got one, let's see it. /Roger

Hi Roger,

There were 2 or 3 of them issued to SMKWs. Below is a scan of the second one they had made.

Thanks for sharing, that is one I've never seen. I've got one here somewhere (can't find at the moment) but I think the blade etch has something to do with the Idaho factory move.

Well, I couldn't find the knife but remembered I had some pictures. A 110/112 Trapper commemorating the move from California to Idaho.
The 112 blade has a 2004 dade code and the 110 blade has the Idaho stamp.

So, anyone know how these feel in the hand? It's obviously heavier and wider and opinions vary, but as a user would it be... comfortable to use?

I personally don't know anybody who has EDCed a 110 / 112 ...I had a double 112 I bought for my 112 collection but it was never used by me. I think the biggest benefits of any kind of double blade knife is is to have the ability to have a super sharp blade if you need one. For a few years I kept one blade of a jack knife I had sharpened very 'thin' for that reason. The edge would get chipped very easy with any kind of hard use but when I needed a razor kind of edge for cutting I had one. I did the same thing with a no name boot knife for a few years. .

Mine just showed up. I'm very pleased. By the way mine has the 2017 date stamp not the 2016 as shown on the website photos. Pics after work today.

DOB on mine is 3/13/17. It is not serialized.

Wasn't able to get photos taken last night but will try to today. I noticed that the end label on the box refers to this as a "Trapper Style" 110/112 and not a dual or combo.

Mine is quite thick and gripping it with one blade open and one closed has an odd feel compared to a standard 110 or 112. I expected it to feel big and funny for lack of a better term so no disappointment there. Picture it like a large trapper or stockman slip joint.

Oh right, that makes perfect sense. I hadn't really thought of holding the knife with one of the blades closed. Thanks for the info.

I can't find it on the Buck website. How do you order one?

Email sent via the site. That means you'll probably not get it.

This is an exclusive for a distributor who is not a paid member here so it's taboo to identify them to some extent. It was covered in another thread about Limited Editions though.

Great looking knife. Looks better than the stock photo the seller has on their site. I need to get me one coming.
