New 110/112 Combo knife from Buck.

The Nickel Silver BUCK inlay does not look good in that orientation, to me it's upside down.
Mine should arrive tomorrow.

I took more photos but couldn't get them to upload to PB. I'm conflicted a lot of time with the logo/shield orientation on different models. My preference is probably for the way this one has it. If the knife is laying on its back you can read it when it's displayed closed but if you want to display it with the blade open and edge down on a holder (the safe way to display) then it's upside down.

Mine arrived today. A nice looking knife, so a nice knife to have in a collection. Unfortunately it is not a practical knife for a daily user. It is to hard to release the lock to close a blade. The lockbars are very close together. This makes it difficult press only one to release a blade. My thumb is not strong enough to press both together far enough to release the blade/s.

O.B.

I don't foresee any problem myself; but honestly, I never planned to put it in the rotation anyway... already have plenty lined up for that duty, including a regular 110. Glad everyone seems pleased with them; mine's on the way.

I noticed that right off the bat. Really isn't another practical way to do t other then depressing both locks at the same time. They are awfully close together to do them separately. Just the nature of the beast though a good cleaning and lubrication might make it easier.

Got mine on Saturday. Nice well made knife. Yes the two lock releases are too close to each other, but as stated that is just the way it is. A collector item for sure......

Here is one I made in 2010 by taking apart a 1980's 428. I did it like these gents are displaying, making both blades a back lock. I then made several blades for the selector slot. The blade that is in the permanent slot is a sodbuster style skinning blade. With full hollow grind. It is a great blade to use as a skinner with good belly. Then I insert what ever other blade I think I may need for a field dressing task. Of course there are other opinions but for me it is my dream knife. A good skinning blade with a fish blade or saw. I have used this model a good bit and enjoy having it. I really like the comfort of the handle width and don't mind working the 2 locking blades. DM
