I don't know if this will help...I bought this 110 at the 30th Anniversary, it's S30V, with G10 and has the Anvil stamp. Dated 12/18/17

probably true, but a special run of some sort for something I think is a fair guess. regardless of what, when and why....its makes it a bit special in the markings over the standard printed year marking. so for the op I feel he got a good one over the regular year marking.
 
The knife above looks exactly like mine, same markings and all, but the label on the box says its from 2021 (wish I could read the original label underneath!!) :

The Anvil stamp is used on the Limited edition knives in place of a date code! 10 years from now it makes it hard to date the knife as you have to reseach when it was made.
