Went by Wal*Mart this afternoon to pick up a few items. I decided to stroll
over to the knife case to see what was going on and lo and behold, they now
show the 110 in the case!!!! First time I've seen that. A Great price too,
10.00 less then I paid at Dick's, and this one even came in the box:)
I think this is the sharpest one yet. I've almost gotten myself a couple
of times already.
Looks like she was built in 09, the box actually says 03-12-09. Still
has the nylon sheath though:(....but the nylon sheath is very nice and
probably a little easier in everyday life since it's thinner and tucks in
pretty tight and out of the way.
Well here she is, and I didn't have to drive all over creation like last time.
They had one left, I'm almost tempted!!!!!!!!
Regards Sonny

Nothing like going to Walmart for something boring and ending up with something great!:)

Sonny

That nylon sheath. Is it the one that is both vertical, and horizontal carry?

The nylons get tossed in the washing machine with my jeans at the end of deer season.

Uhhh, I think I need some socks or something....better get over to walmrt:D

I'm surprised they had it in the box-all clamshells at mine. If I see one in box, I'm gettin one.

Good pick up-good pics:thumbup:

That is a fine looking specimen, Sonny. Some of the nicest wood grain I have seen.

Another good looking 110 Sonny.Even the standard 110s look like a custom made knife.:D:thumbup:

Thanks guys! The wood on this one is a little lighter, and has a little
more of a Stripe to it.

portfallsidaho..........Yeah I actually like the nylon sheath quite a bit,
I was only bummed because neither of my 110's has a leather one.
I guess that's an easy fix though:)

Pack Rat..........yeah, it's like my other sheath, both horizontal and
vertical carry. Ever since someones suggestion about using it in the
horizontal mode, that's what I've been doing, and I really like it that
way. It's very unobtrusive and comfortable in that carry.

imafritz......I was surprised about the box too. When I used to see
them out on display on the floor they were in the clamshells. Now they
keep them in the knife case they are all in boxes. I was blown away by
the size of the box!!!! So was the guy behind the counter!
It's hard to imagine someone not enjoying this knife for over a year after
it was made!!........I know I'm sure enjoying it:D
Just because I enjoy taking pictures, here's a couple of the "humoungus box"
:D

Buck standardized most of the box sizes some time back. Kind of over kill in some cases, but I can see the economics in it.

Is nice to have the markings on it. Good history.

This is the box that contained a 110 I purchased at Wally World in El Paso last month.Same great knife, different box.

Went to see Wally in belle vernon Pa today-normally go to West mifflin. I was really hopen to see some boxes but all there was were clamshells:grumpy:

imafritz,

The Morgantown, WV Walmart carries the 110 in boxes. I guess technically it's called Granville. It's the Walmart that is right off the West Virginia University Exit of 79.

My local Wal*Mart is pretty small and the knife case is pretty small
also. I don't think they could get very many clamshells in it.
I was sure happy to get one in a box though.

skyhorse, yeah yours is almost a year newer then the one I just got.
Regards Sonny

Doug, thats good info, I'm down it that neck every so often. Might have to visit Cheat Lake one of these days or play some golf at Bridgeport and stop at Wally's.
