I picked up a Buck 119 Special this evening. So far I like the feel and weight. I do wish it came with the leather sheath. It is razor right out of the box. I'm taking it camping this week end.
 
It's pretty easy to pick up leather replacement sheaths that are new or in like new condition. I bought a new flap over version from the 70's models this past year. Good luck...you got yourself a classic!!

Oh, the good news is the nylon sheath with the full plastic liner is very durable.
 
50cal, Welcome. Yes, Flats correct. They can be found on Amazon, the bay, pawn shops, even from Buck, lots of places, they're not hard to find. Have a good time camping and let us know how your 119 preformed. DM
 
The sheath runs about 15 dollars direct from Buck. Still a great deal on a knife, and you'll have both sheath options.

The 119 is my favourite fixed blade (the 110 is my favourite folder... :D).
I'm sure you'll love it ! It's great for camping,hunting,fishing - all kind of outdoor stuff.Mine has also came with a cordura sheath,which wasn't very good,so I took it to a local leathersmith who has made a great leather sheath for like $ 10 :)

I'd be interested in what a Bulgarian leathersmith came up with!

I'm sorry for the bad quality photo,but I only have this on the computer.I've taken it with my mobile phone.The sheath isn't as good as the original,but it rides comfortably on my belt and holds the knife securely :thumbup:

I was just wondering if their are many Buckeroo's like you over there in Bulgaria?
 
I think you will like it, if you do want a leather sheath there are (were) alot on ebay for 16 dollars free shipping. They are nice sheathes truthfully.

There are many people in the Bulgarian knife forums who own Buck Knives :thumbup:

Buck is a well respected knife brand here,but sadly the official dealer is very greedy - they sell the 119 for $ 100 :eek: I don't buy from them :thumbdn:
 
I just got one two days ago form wally world. it has a plasric-liner leather sheath. i kind of like the nylon idea better.
