New 25 coming back from warranty with?

^ Exactly what I was thinking, unless as he took the knife apart ithe washer rebent into a position that was simply flattened out by installation.

But does copper retain a bend? It is not spring steel.

I recognize I am a newbie here, and I would not be able to convince the mass... The very first time I took it apart, I noticed it. It could have been me, there is always that slight possibility... Not sure how though.

Who wants to purposely bend a washer on a $500 knife? Maybe an idiot like me.

I have a new CRK that looks like it was someones first knife. It has several issues from factory. A scuff on the lock side, a machining mark on the CF scale and the blade is out of center. The blue on the thumb studs don't match.

The same day I received that one, I also received a micarta 25. It is literally the first perfect CRK I've ever had. Has zero issues I can find. I cleaned off the extra grease and it's also the first Sebenza I've had with zero lock stick when new out of the box. It is what it is.

Can you try wiping the slab with WD40? It darkens the slab and might even out that white area if it is not a scuff mark...

If it's new send it back to the dealer. If you can't send it back, it ain't new :)

Per the original person, Sebenzas scuff real easy, mine got a worse scuff on the clip in the first couple of hours I owned it from the plastic on my seat belt.

It's serialized. There are no more left. As in, cannot be replaced. However I'm waiting to hear from quality control manager as to how to handle it.

Machine marks don't come from carrying it. Neither do out of center blades.

Here is another example of a definitely left the factory like this:
