Just FYI to STDKs comment, Camillus made most of those Craftsman knives, and are well spoken of over in the Traditional forum. But, they do follow some in those footsteps. I think pocketknife users(vs Buck Nuts) like there looks, as being different from what they think of as a Buck pocket knife....i.e. Black Sawcut.
I think what's happening is we are getting a 300 with different look, but it is within the manufacturing scheme of the Buck production lines. If this model sells decently maybe they will be able push on for a nice jigged bone. I would also think that a fancy steel bladed 300 would at least set we Buckaroos singing like a lark. S30v would be OK as would D2. I personally would like to see the shield size reduced down a hair to better fit the proportions of the knifes scale. And you have heard me wish for a two blade 301 or the replacement of the spey blade with a warcliff. Wild thoughts at the end of a spring day. 300

How about a swiss army Buck for hunters.
